KABUL, June 29 (Xinhua) -- A total of 25 Afghan nationals who were released from Pakistan jails recently returned to their country Afghanistan on Saturday, reported the state-run Radio and Television of Afghanistan on Sunday.
All the repatriated former detainees, after registration and receiving necessary aid from the Afghan authorities at the crossing point, have been transported to their home provinces, the state-owned media outlet added.
Pakistan, which has released hundreds of Afghan nationals from its prisons since January, has called on all undocumented Afghans to leave the country.
The return of Afghan refugees from the neighboring Pakistan and Iran has intensified over the past couple of weeks as up to 10,000 to 30,000 refugees return home from Iran nowadays, according to Afghan officials.
